The Tammy Faye Biopic

In the conflict between faith and wealth, it's a knockout win for greed in Michael Showalter's wonderfully garish true story about the fallen TV preacher plus her lawbreaking partner. It's a spectacle of tacky decor, excessive cosmetics and insincerity, though Chastain achieves to depict Tammy Faye in a likable light. Tuesday 14 October, early morning, Film4
